Curriculum

We introduce French in Key Stage 2, following a structured Language Angels programme, designed to support progression that builds confidence through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

• Year 3: Focus on Phonetics 1-2, establishing basics through topics like Animals, Instruments, Seasons, Vegetables, and Fruits.

• Year 4: Building communication skills through Presenting Myself, exploring My Family, and learning terminology for In the Classroom.

• Year 5: Advancing to complex structures including The Date, The Weather, My Home, and social scenarios At the Café/Restaurant.

• Year 6: Consolidating skills with Phonetics 3-4, and developing fluency in topics such as Clothes, At School, and At the Weekend.
