19.3.2020 Coronavirus update

Yesterday, the Prime Minister announced the closure of schools in England from Monday.  However, school will remain open to certain groups of pupils.  Although Mr Johnson gave a broad indication of who those pupils will be, as a school we are currently looking at the more detailed guidance.  We will contact the parents of pupils who are eligible to remain in school by the end of this week.

Mrs Freeman is emailing all parents to ask whether they are key workers.  Currently, our understanding of this is:

- NHS staff

- Police

- Social Workers

- School staff

- Those who work as a food delivery driver

Please respond as quickly as you can if you are a key worker.

We are also taking steps to provide lunch for those entitled Free School Meals (this does not apply to Universal Free Meals in KS1).

This is an evolving situation.  Updates, as and when they arise, will be posted here on the front page of our website.

In order to ensure that children's learning continues during this period of disruption, we have put learning activities on our website. We are updating this regularly so please keep checking.  There is a link to this work on the home page of our website.
